When starting a new pond with a new filter using Fritz-Zyme Turbo Start some hobbyist prefer using ammonium chloride as an ammonia source for the nitrifying bacteria rather than load the pond with koi. Using ammonium chloride rather than koi as an ammonia source is a much safer way to seed the biofilter because the ammonia levels are not going to endanger the koi. Once the filter has cycled and the ammonia and nitrite levels are safe then you can introduce your koi. This ammonium chloride is lab grade (99.7% pure). Available in a 500 gram jar. ProForm-LA is the safest and most effective treatment for the control of diseases of pond fish caused by Lice and Anchor Worms. It is just as safe to use on pond fish as Demalin, yet it is much safer for human contact. It will not harm reptiles (turtles), amphibians (frogs) and mollusks (snails). ProForm-C is the preeminent broad spectrum malachite green & formalin treatment. It is formulated differently than any other malachite green & formalin mix. Malachite green and formalin are two drugs that are more effective in combination than if used individually. This is the definition of synergism. Debride ProHealth Broad Spectrum Koi & Goldfish Health Protection
Debride ProHealth forms a multi-layered protective slime coating on fish’s skin, protecting them during handling and minimizing infection. The coating works as a healing aid for fishs with bruises, missing scales, or frayed fins. The multi-layered protective slime coating is formed by special polymer colloids and is compatible with the use of salt. Debride ProHealth combines concentrated skin slime replacers with the addition of vitamin B12 which aids in the more normal healing process of injured fishes. Debride DW food is for diseases caused by internal worms and parasites. Koi, just like dogs and cats, get internal worms and parasites. These worms and parasites will slow the growth of the koi as well as cause other diseases internally. Debride DW, a praziquantel based food, will bring your koi back to health quickly. Debride Medicated Ointment
Debride is a medicated ointment that promotes prompt and complete healing of ulcers, mouth rot, fin rot, and tail rot, all symptoms of Aeromonas and Pseudomonas. Koi Care Kennel conducted extensive field trials on this product in 2001. We sent samples of Debride to over 100 hobbyist and dealers who had requested these samples and who had sick fish. The user's evaluation came back at a 90% success rate.
Debride ProHealth calms fishs, reduces losses, eases stress, minimizes infection and aids healing, thereby helping to protect fishs during illness, handling and transportation. Debride ProHealth also helps detoxify the free ions of heavy metals present in the pond such as zinc, iron or copper which can be lethal to fishs and invertebrates.
CHLORAMINE-T
Bifuran is a mixture of Nitrofurazone (80%) and Furazolidone (20%). Bifuran possesses bacteriostatic, bacteriocidal and antimicrobial properties useful for treating and controlling bacterial and sporozonoan diseases. It is indicated for the control of Aeromonas spp.,Vibrio spp., and other bacterial pathogens. Bifuran treats external diseases AND internal (systemic) diseases. It can be used as a bath (or dip), a total pond treatment or it can be given orally. It is very effective for controlling ulcers, fin rot, mouth rot and tail rot. Ultimate is a convenient, liquid single phase, full-function water conditioner that has been scientifically formulated for use in koi and goldfish ponds. Ultimate should be used (1) when conditioning new water for ponds, (2) prior or during water additions to ponds, (3) before adding new fish or plants, and (4) when transporting koi or goldfish.
